tide'n'knots Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 hi raiders, fished at wisemans ferry yesterday after work for a few hours, the water was still a bit coloured from the recent rain. Managed 2 nice flathead and 2 undersized jew, then about 2 hours into dark the eels became a problem (1 after another) and the fish didnt have a chance to find a bait before a hungry eel grabbed it, so we called it a night and went home. Here is a photo of the flathead.
plankton Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 (edited) Hi Pete, Nice Flatties... action must just about be ready to fire. The rain has spoiled any chance at a crab unfortunately, otherwise I would have been on my way now Edited March 6, 2009 by plankton

marcel haber Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Well done Pete, nice feed . Bad luck about the eels coming onto the scene. Thanks for last week end, hope all is well. Twin 1
glennmreid Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Beautiful flatties, good size. Great to see Wiseman's still firing up.
arpie Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Nice flatties Pete!! they were really on the chew up SWR way, even in filthy water! I was surprised! They are supposed to be 'going off' in the lake here just now too ..... may have to test that theory tomorrow! Today, I am catching up on reading the last 2 weeks of threads ..... and having a rest! Roberta

Roberta I bet the fish are glad you have had a rest too!!!! they probably just heard that you are back in town and have all fled for cover! Knowing your angling capabilities fleeing for cover wont save them, I am sure you will still manage to pluck some out of their hiding places! Pete
arpie Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Was looking forward to fishing tomorrow until I busted a rear tooth & am now looking for a dentist instead!! Look forward to you getting up here & getting into the flatties & everything else! Roberta
