pelican Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 (edited) I am sure it was 16 ships about 2 weeks ago for the media release - what happened did the Navy misplace a ship. Expect police and little men in big tactical boats around the place. A fair bit of security and watch the exclusion zones, distance off rules and escort boats If they would just leave them there a while it would be good for fishing I think. Details are here http://www.navy.gov.au/Fleet_Entry,_Fleet_...Fleet_Divisions Rules - not 100% sure if these are the new stand off distances or the old ones so basically sneak up behind them while they are moving - just joking but the way some rules are written does make me laugh. Naval Vessels For safety reasons, people are prohibited from climbing, attaching themselves to or helping another person to attach themselves to a naval vessel. A ‘moving exclusion zone’ has also been introduced for naval vessels whilst on NSW waters. This zone extends 200m from the bow and 60m either side of a naval vessel whilst it is underway. A ‘distance off’ of 60m from a naval vessel that is moored, anchored or berthed also applies at all times. Penalties apply. Edited March 12, 2009 by pelican
