The Iceman Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Just got home from the SCG Great day Cold Play Eskimo Joe and Jet were brilliant Some of the other bands I had no idea who they were Even had a little speech from two pommy guys on the big screen think there names were William and Harry Got a bit wet and had some strange looks from people Dont think they have seen a mid 40s year old guy rockin in the moshpit to Cold Play
gregg.michael Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Never to old to rock out. Sounds like it was an awesome day. The line-up was amazing, especially for the price and it all goes to a great cause. Any pics? Mike

tide'n'knots Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I reckon the melbourne concert would have been awesome - I love hunters and collectors and it would have been great to see them on stage again! I watched on foxtel and they were sensational but its not quite the same as being there! the sound on TV was very ordinary, the lead guitar was too loud and the horn section was too soft and at times the voice volume was a bit to soft - I dont know who mixed the sound for tv but it was crap! very dissapointing - not the performances just the sound quality. Midnight oil have lost nothing also and split ends went off, I reckon tim finn would have needed oxygen after the gig! Its a shame it takes tradgedy for all these great musicians to get back together. I would be nice if they did a few gigs just occassionally for the hell of it! Pete
