Hawkesbury Spots.

Aces

Recommended Posts

I know fishermen and women never give away there "spots" that are good to them, but i am taking a mates kids out fishing for the day on the hawkesbury. I can handle a day of fishing with out any luck but i know how easily kids get bored if nothing is happening.

Im not asking for exact GPS point here lol, just a few helpful hints so the kids have a good time and hopefully land their first fish and to prevent the "im borrrrrrred" statement.

I have my own boat so will not be restricted by the old hire boat boundary

PM me of post em in the thread i dont mind.

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

Gday Dan

Here is my never fail spot for a fish on the Hawksberry. I find that it fishes well on a run out tide.

Start drifting into the centre of the passage from just past the timber warf.

It is only a short drift of about 50 meters or so as there is a rock bar level with the second or third house.

I usually always sometimes pick up a few nice flathead here on the run out.

I have tried fishing on the run in without any luck here

I have also had success doing the drift fom Bar Point up river towards Spencer.

Hope this helps

Cheers
