knight76
The last time I went fishing We just used a trace to run to the hook, but now we have this nylon stuff to use as a leader down to the hook. I went out today and bought a bunch of gear ready for some bream fishing! Reading the back of the packet it says about looping the nylon through the hook, twisting it around and then burning the nylon to melt it together. Now I don't like the sound of this for strength, or for ease of use when you get snapped off and need to re-rig your line. So my question is, can't you just tie the nylon using a good knot the same as you do for regular fishing line? I am heading out tomorrow morning and am going to rig the rod tonight. Blood Knot
Knight If its mono or flourocarbon line just tie a Uni Knot to the hook. Its not a nylon coated wire trace ??. If thats the case suggest you leave it at home if you are after bream. John
