Moro Mou
Hello Mighty Macs, I have not fished Lake Hume for many years however i beleive like many of our freshwater impoundments it has suffered with very low water levels in recent years. This said my suggestion is to contact the tourist park or speak to your local tackle shop as i am sure they will give you a run down on how things have been fishing lately. In regards to species my impoundment favorites Murray Cod and Yellow Belly are present as well as the introduced redfin and carp. I also understand that Lake Hume has trout. Hope this helps
kiwi waynie
Hey Mighty Macs. I was down there in november at the tourist park. I floged lures around there for a few sml reddies n one sml trout but talk about carp 21 in three sessions and "far" they go much harder than Sydney carp. Weve got freinds down that way there are some good fish there but it sounds like land based might be a bit harder for lake hume. Bloody nice lake thou, ya almost dont mind not catchin fish (i DID say almost) Lata Raida Waynie. ps: try to serch for my post.
