Richard1 Posted May 14, 2009 Share Posted May 14, 2009 Hey Simmo, i caught a fish there last night :D :D:D:D:D it was a pretty snapper(i am pretty sure). being the model citizen i am he went back in the water after the quick photo as he was only small. i tossed him on the other side of the jetty, but he swam back to where i got him from... silly fish! Hi Raiders Went down to CG tonight with 2 mates from 7pm till 145am only about 20 ppl there so not to bad 5th cast of the night saw a 34cm bream about 1 hour later my mate scored a 37cm bream after that we got about 10- 15 small 1s about 10-20cm around 12am we get hit again this time a 30cm bream sorry no pic Cameron did i meet you there? i was the young man with the flashing head torch. Keflapod Posted May 14, 2009 Share Posted May 14, 2009 Nice catch Simmo. I agree with previous posts your jacket is a Unicorn jacket. Here's a bit of info about the species. Its a tropical species, and not often found in Southern waters. It prefers deep offshore water, but has been found in coastal bays. It is a close relation to the Scribbled jacket. When we saw them they were in a group of about 5 or 6 and they would circle the red and white floats in the water, every now and then they would try to bite the floats, they didnt look particularly bright.
