deano2233 Posted May 20, 2009 Share Posted May 20, 2009 ive heard alot of people say they fillet there flatties, (i dont usually fillet fish i just wrap them up in foil and cook the whole fish with butter and garlic) and i would like to know how? particularly flatties because i catch them most. if anyone can post a link to some information preferably with some pictures? or just write a little explanation if its pretty simple. cheers guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

bass_beginner Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 definately worth the time to fillet and bone them they make awesome fillets for fish burgers or if you get a big enuff bag they make awesome fish cocktails in a seafood gnosh up along with some squid garries and other seafood stuff hmmm basically simple method is watching the spines run a thin flexible very sharp knife down on an angle folling the head as a guide down to the spine then follow the spine out till the end of the tail simple quick and relatively painless if you miss the spines Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
