muscle_17
Hi All, this long weekend ill be going down to the entrance for 3 days for fishing. Ive never been there before, but by looking in the street directory, the entrance seems to be long sand flats? can someone give me advice on fishing the entrance, esp with softplastics. as in where to fish, what to consider etc..... also is it worth hiring a boat from long jetty to fish tuggerah lakes? or is there nothing decent to catch? thanks alot fellas
Coast_Bloke
Haven't fished the entrance much, but a boat is very handy there, as its a big system, and you can find heaps of spots. Others will have more info... and good luck on your trip
Jethro
The Entrance is probably your best bet shore based but I dare say there will be a few people about over Easter. You can wade the flats for flathead using SPs and there have also been a few bream about. One of the better spots is the southern side of the channel. You can get on to the flats under the bridge on the southern side and you fish the drop offs from there down to the mouth. Boat hire is also an option and you will be able to cover a lot more water. There is a boat hire place just next to the bridge on the Southern side. We went for a quick flick there last Sunday arvo and all we caught were a couple of spikies but I have heard reports of a few good fish still about.
