Jayson78 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Had a few hours last night so thought i would head down to Wollongong last night for a quick fish. Left home with a handfull of dirty old pillchards that have been frozen about 10 times.forgot to grab a jumper and had to use a new work jaket that no more protection then my t-shirt did from the cold. Got to the water bout 6:30pm sat there for bout a hour with no luck. Was about to call it quits when i felt a tap on the bait lifted the rod slowly and i was on. Got it to the rock that i was on and was i happy my first red from the rocks. Got another bait in the water within a minute i was on again. This time not a red but a nice little trev. That was enough for a good feed so went home feeling goog as hell my first red from the rocks. Edited June 11, 2009 by Jaygra

hottyscotty Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 any where there is a lot of wash will get you fish. use a light sinker. time your casts otherwise the waves will just wash your bait out. the fish are usually feeding in close to the rocks. or find sand and weed patches and cast far away from the rocks and you will find snapper. never tried myself though because i'm lazy. i'd rather drop the bait at my feet
moses Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 nice fish mate well done looks like the perfect size for the pan too
