SeaBoss
Im new to the site and was hoping I can write something positive today!! Went down to Bellambie this morning hoping for some big Reds (weve had a few 2-6 kilo over the last couple ofmonths). Tried about 12 known spots that we normally fish (a fe around the hump), at varying depths and locations. To my dissapointment, came back with no reds and we could not escape the Jackets everywhere we went. Whats the trick for the leather Jackets, they are even attacking the braid lines and wrecking a lot of my gear. At the end of the day, saw a few whales and got to explore a few new spots. bass_beginner
the trick with the jackets is keep cheap gear with u and bag out so that everyone else will think your a champion...but seriously ive spoken to a bloke who works at my local who has been seeing that many jackets around when fishing for kings that the kings are fighting with the jackets for food beat that its beyond a joke... Jewdreamer
What you really need is a bream big and nasty enough to take the 6/0 circles! Cheers Chris
Ross Hunter
What you really need is a bream big and nasty enough to take the 6/0 circles! Cheers Chris The key to fishing The Hump is not to fish too shallow or on sand You must fish in at least 28 fathoms and they will not plague you out there, generaly. We fished three days and caught a swag of reds to 3kg as well as mowies, pig fish bonito and leatherjackets . We drifted because of the strong 2knot current and had afew bite offs, but minimal. Hope it helps Roscoe
