Spinning Rod

Hi all,

anyone got any recommendations for a medium heavy-heavy spinning rod, for chasing kings, jews etc??

im willing to spend up to $150.

im thinking around 8-9ft, cause i will be using it off rocks alot

any suggestion on type/brand, weight and length would be helpful

Depending on your line class the fsu4120 spin for 10kg or the fsu5120 spin for 15kg. Both rods are made here in aus by Wilson. There are also models in the live fibre range but they are a little more than your budget.

ive got a roll of 30lb fireline so i'll probs just put that on there, backed with some mono or flouro

I'd suggest the Starlo Stix Heavy Shore Spin. $119 and will take 10kg line weight no problems. The length is just perfect as well.

got to agree with a fsu5120 or even a mt8120

i have seen some snyderglas 8120s going out for 100 bucks recently so you should be able to find one
