Jewdreamer
Couldn't sleep last night and weather too ratty to put in the boat. Decided to try for some land based action. Looked all over for a sheltered place and thought why not the old canal. Nice bridge at Canal road and Burrows road. park the car only 10M away so If I had to run for it, if it pelted down .... Got there about 06:00 sky just turning from black to grey... Cold as... Only took a flick rod .. to facilitate that quick get away if hughie sent her down. First cast - nothing. Reeled it back in and cleaned something nasty from jig. next cast ... its just starting to get light... Im on little bugger is pulling like a tractor! Nice 5 minute tussle, I slip on the weeds on the wall...wet arse! Finally get it in Biggest water rat you ever saw!!! No fella's only kidding! There has been nothing fresh posted in fishing reports for the last couple of days so I though I might give all you desperados something to giggle about!
