olitay
Went out today to see if i could reach the Peak for a Jig, however the SE'aster was short and sharp and i really couldnt be buggered putting up with the chop so i stayed inside and sounded some new ground in MH. The idea was to try my new anchor winch out while at the same time have a flick for whatever i could entice. Its amazing how you dont hesitate to try a new spot when you have an anchor winch, the thought of lifting a heavy anchor from the seabed often turned me off from trying new grounds specially being in a half cabin where accessibility to the ancho was not a simple task. Well i did have some teething problems with the winch but all in all the ease of lifting the winch with a press of a button is something I will never do without when boating on the future. Such a relatively inexpensive devise has encouraged me to explore more fishing grounds when in the past i simply couldnt be buggered. I anchored up, then lifted, then moved on, then anchored the up and moved on and anchored again and you know what...... it was an absolute ease!!! I found myself some new grounds that produced Flathead whist in the past I would have driven on and put it in the "too hard" basket. get an anchor winch!!!! you wont be dissapointed. GregL
Thats cool Billy, might have to put one of them on the list for the NEXT pimping trip back to the shop! Q) Is it all chain or rope as well? Think I need one with rope so I can do mega drops like out at the 12 mile. 200m of rope and chains a bugger even with an anchor yanker! G

Very nice, Really helps when you go solo. I've been putting off going out because all of my mug mates have been busy and I can't find a "manual anchor winch" to do all the hard work for me! Looks like a reaqlly luxury little system - ballpark $$$???

G Hi Greg, its Chain and rope but I recon if your thinking of dropping 200M youll need to get a beafier model...... This one lifts 17M per minute so it will take a while to come up. Like Donna said though, watch this space cause there is a new sponsor coming on board and they have great winches!!! wish i new before!
