mako1
Fished the La Perouse area today in the yak. Planned to flick some plastics around Bare Island but the wind was too strong in the morning. I trolled around the Island and picked up a few small tailor. It was getting uncomfortable in the wind so I went to the other side of Yarra Bay and fished the wall just inside Molineaux point. Had some fun with Trevally on light gear. I then made the move back to the Island to try and find some squid. I found a patch of squid after a lot of moving around. Managed to land three but I dropped another four. They seemed to be very timid and only just touching the jigs so it was hard to get a good hook-up. SAfisho
Nice stuff. Could you share what side of the island/approximately where around the island you found the squid? If it was around the island. I saw a yakker today in a hobie - must've been you. I only got one squid all day. I moved around a lot too.

I caught the squid in front of the rocks just south of the moored boats in Frenchmans bay which would make it NW of Bare Island. It was about 5m deep.
