Feedback On Berkely Mf40

Hi Raiders,

After hearing all the hype on the MF40, soft plastic, scented vibe, I went out and bought a few packets of various colours to try. I've now tried these vibes quite a few times and am quite dissapointed by their actions and poor hookup rates compared to the hard bodied/metal vibes.

The MF40 to me has a very poor "vibe" action and swims erratically when on the way to the bottom, nothing like a fish in trouble. I've only hooked up once so far on them compared to the many times on the metal vibes.

Just curious to see who else has been playing with these and what their feedback and opinions are on them.

Cheers,

Leo

The biggest mistake people are making is using MF's like a metal vibe. You are not supposed to get that big vibe feel with them. If you are your probably fishing them way too hard and fast.

MF's fit in when a plastic is a little to dead but a metal vibe is to much for the bite. Fish them more like a plastic...don't worry the fish will sense the subtle vibe. They do bend but try to keep them straight as possible with the odd tweak here and there.

A slow roll grubbing along the bottom mixed with a few small hops works well.

Like any lure they have a place...as I say in between a plastic and a metal vibe. Come summer you will be able to fish them a bit harder but for now keep it slow and soft.

Cheers

Gday Chris

Thats a very good piece of info you have shared, as it is often the suttle differences in technique which make big differences, but can also take a long time to figure out by trial and error for yourself. Still have not tried them myself but they look the goods.

Cheers Gibbo
