Sounder/gps Combos

Looking at getting an upgrade for our sounder and also would like to buy a GPS while i'm at it

Just wondering what the disadvantages/advantages of getting a sounder and gps in the one unit are compared

to buying a sounder and gps separately?

Hi Mate, it really comes down to buget and dash space. If you can afford it and have the room to mount two large screen units that gives you both GPS and fishfinding at the same time without cutting the screen in half. That said with some good pricing at present in combo units, they work well and what you find is that if you are going to a particular spot via the GPS/mapping page you get there and then switch the unit to full fishfinder to zone in on that drop off or whatever.
