Just need some help choosing a rod too match up to a TLD25 ive been looking at a shimano backbone 10-15kg roller tip its going to be used for trolling and live baiting only looking at spending up to about 200 dollars

have caught a few rats there but nothing too big

yeah the backbone elite is not a bad option although id prolly go with a stroker option and skip the roller tip as on the backbones ive heard of them going very quickly ummm on a side not youve got the option of for not alot more going live fibre in sumthing 10-15kg which will be a huge stgep up from the backbone

i think the Backbone would be a great combination, an affordable yet durable and quality outfit!!

Yeah a backbone would do the job well. I have a Tld25 and i use a mitchell saltwater series 2E glass rod. It does the job but not many around these days. But backbone would suit it perfect, if i was to replace my rod i would grab a backbone for sure.

I just received my TLD25 + Shimano Spectrum 12-20kg 5'6" rod

Pre-loaded 15kg IGFA high vis Blue line.

Its the perfect outfit well balanced for chasing Kingies and other pelagic species.
