Balls Fising

A mate and I fished Balls Head- land based, yesterday - very quite - about a dozen undersized fish but mate landed a good black fish when fshing for bream using bread - his favourite bait.

Anyone else fished there lately with any greater results - as first time and new to Sydney looking for good land based areas and finding out the best baits for the area for jew, brean and flatheads

My mates and i fished that area a few months back and got a few bream, whiting and a blue swimmer crab around balls head. All caught on nippers. We were on a boat though...

mate sydney foreshore has some of the best and most accessible fishing spots in the country, try middle harbour, watsons bay or any of the sydney ferries wharves, but be sure to keep a look out for berthing ferries, they dont wait for you to get your lines in

Nice effort by your mate with the bread.

Top little spot. Make sure your spinning while waiting for your baits to be hit, some nice kings get through there You can just about always plug a leathery at your feet as well if things are slow.

The big down side are the jet boats that seem to take joy in buzzing the ledge.
