Top Spot Off Shore Hawksbury

gday emptyhander,

on the main page head due south until you hit a place called gps marks,

mark that then roll down to broken bay , then travel east to the marks.

what are you chasing, or just fishing generally?

burley, structure, actively hunting, relaxing waiting for it to happen.

rigs and quality bait or lures to suit bottom structure.

pressume you mean boat based hawks, not offshore brken bay?

most systems are quieter at the moment and it is a good time to hunt around

and find your own spots that you think may fire over the next few months.

most spots have been done to death. you obviously now know your way around.

trust your own instincts and work harder. you probably know some fishy looking areas

try lighter line, different fresh baits as light a sinker as current allows. attack the shore

around rocks that radiate heat into the water with different pattern lures

. . . . . keep thinkin

Excellent advice Rooster.

EH, I am much the same as you. Plenty of hours on the water for little or no results.

I once heard that 10% of fisherman catch 90% of the fish. I am determined to become one of those 10%, and that is the reason I joined this site (as well as meeting other fishos of course).

Take the time to read all the hints and tips offered here and you and I should increase our fish/hour ratio.

I know I have learnt much in the few months I have been here, so I am just waiting for the boat to be ready, and I'll be out there again.

Thanks to all the Raiders who have taken the time to share their knowledge. (Actually, I have already caught some squid at Balmain, bagged them, and have them on ice ready to target some jewies.)
