Aqua Naut
WELL OUT AGAIN ON A GLORIOUS DAY WITH LIGHT WINDS EARLY AND THE BAY WAS SPARKLING. HEADED STRAIGHT OUT SIDE TO DO A BIT OF TROLLING AS THERE WERE PLENTY BIRDS PRESENT BUT THE FISH WERE NOT STIKING. ACHORED OUTSIDE KURNELL LIGHT HOUSE AND STARTED A BURLEY TRAIL AS THE SOUNDER WAS GOING NUTS DRIFTED A FEW MACKREL BAITS DOWN AND NAILED A FEW TREVALLY GOING AROUND 35CM AND THERE WERE MASSIVE SCHOOLS OF SWEEP BENEATH THE BOAT AS WELL. A FEW GOOD RETURNS DOWN ABOUT 30 FT SO I DECIDED TO THROW OUT A FEW PLASTICS AND HAVE THEM DRIFT IN THE CURRENT. WITHIN 30 SECONDS BANG THE DRAG STARTS TO BUZZ ON MY 12LB OUTFIT AND IT WAS A STUNNING 54CM KINGIE, FIRST FOR THE SEASON PULLED HIM IN TO GET A QUICK PHOTO AND HAVE HIM RELEASED TO COME BACK EVEN BIGGER HOPEFULLY IN THE COMING MONTHS. THERE WERE PLENTY AROUND ALL UNDER SIZE BUT IT IS A GREAT SIGN A BUMPER SEASON ON THE WAY. ALL IN ALL A TOP MORNINGS FISH TIGHT LINES!!!
