jewie hunter Posted April 3, 2005 Share Posted April 3, 2005 Hi All, I spent the easter breaks 4 days in bed and could not get out and have a fish but made up for it last night and this morning with my jew partner 451.We got out around 7.00pm last night to fish the runout and to our surprise we were just getting smashed from every angle. It really was amazing with 7 rods out and squid and mullet for bait we were 5-0 with 5 lost by 12.00am and 2 of which were at least 15-20kilo , I just could not accept that we could drop 5 big runs and know what they were with three of them over 10mins in fighting,but we just had to keep fucus as we knew they would come .Two of the over head fit outs with 25 kilo line gone in the 10 mins fight to the death. The jew fishing has really been just great with now 451 and myself sitting on our last 4 fishes and all 4 producing jews and this time 2-7 and a third one in the pics which we are having on the bbq in an hour or so . I also had a friend of mine call me on Friday night with again the Tom Uglys bridge & the Captain Cook bridge (Sans Souci) producing the goods. Shore based has been a bit tough lately with the wind & seas but I'm hoping to get a crack this coming weekend. Would have been a top bbq. Grant. Would have been a top bbq. Grant. 40258[/snapback] Hi Grant, It was a great BBQ mate but the fishing was better with at one stage 2-3 running and it was just unreal. I also tried mullet fillets for the time in the boat for jews as I always used them on the beach and I only had one and it was just smashed .The other good bait used was the whitting it went off as well the one frozen one put out and in 15 mins a 2mtr plus herring going crazy.
