Where To Catch Squid

G'day mate welcome.

I have never fished Pittwater but i know that if you do a search for "squid" and scroll through all of the hits you will find plenty of info about Pittwater. It will take you a while but plenty has been written before about this topic. A little bit of time spent researching will be rewarded next time you go out.

Rocky/kelpy shorelines are a good place to start as are seagrass beds - although from my experience Kelp areas always seem to fish better and hold more squid.

Let us know how you get on.

Good luck.

G'day Benson,

Welcome to Fishraider. As the guys said... the search function will be very helpful but to get you started (not sure if you're in a boat), hard in against the rocks around West Head is pretty reliable and working over any of the jetties around Pitwater should turn up a few if the water's clear.

Cheers, Slinky
