johnk
Hi All, I have just hired a boat to go out fishing on the Harbour next Thursday - conditions permitting. As this is the first time I have taken a boat out on the Harbour, as well as my three mates, was wondering if any one can give some advice of some good places to try. Picking the boat up from Drummoyne - all have boat licences and very experienced in boat sheltered waters or open sea. Boat we are hiring, skippering ourself has a an offshore limit of 5nm. Greatly appreciate any help without giving too much away. cheers
Dangas
Try Sow and Pigs Reef - GPS: 33 50.320 S 151 16.180 E and anchor upstream on runout tide or downstream on rising tide and float bait back to reef edge. Burley up with chicken pellets and should pick up some trevally and bream. Or try the wedding cake (white tower marker off watsons bay) anchor about 20m off the structure and work 7" jerk shad plastic or live bait for Kingies. Dunno if theyll be around yet this time of year, depends on water temp, you might find the odd one about.
