Beach Outfit

hey all, i've got the rod and reel for my new beach outfit.

But i want to get some fishing line.

Havn't been a huge beach fishing guru, but i want to go more often beach fishing, and what i want to know is what like most people tend to use.

Like Braid or Mono, and how much pounds you use.

Well my Reel is a Shimano Alivio 10000 Reel. and my rod i dont know the brand but its like 3 metres or something.

Looking at targeting like, Big Flatties, Salmon, Jewies.

Just my thoughts, would start around 12 to 15lb Mono, a bit heavier if you fancy a big jew or a bit lighter if you will be into bream / whiting etc. Braid is an option on beach outfits (have 10kg on one of mine).

On one of my outfits i have 30Lb Mono and one my other i have 20Lb Braid, i much prefer the braid but it isnt cheap to load a reel up with braid, if your not looking to spend alot of money on your line then some good quality Mono will do the trick and it isnt hard to upgrade to braid later if u decide to go that way.

Another disadvantage of braid is that if you havent used it before then youll need to learn a few new knots to use it effectively.

yea, i think ill go with braid.

Yea i know braid, got it on my other reels just wasn't curious what was the best for beach fishing, as in the past i used mono.
