Left home with my mate Christos around 5:30am and headed to Oatley boat ramp.

As soon as we were in the water and out of Oatley Bay i mentioned to Christos that the water was a bit choppy in the river. Our itention for the day was to start out in the Bay and work our way back to the river when the wind would pickup.

Arrived at the Drums....the swell was too much so we moved to Moulinex point...It was choppy here tpp but we anchored up anyway....after about 20 mins of no bites and lots of rocks and spins from the wind, we moved to the 3rd runway...no good here either, so it was time to go to the river for the rest of the day....

Anchored up at the river and put out a rod i had jigged up for Kingies....baited up with squid and left in the water...

After a while a few bites and it stopped...left rod in water and carried on fishing with the light tackle rod which landed me a nice 30cm bream.....while poor Christos was landing little pinkies, and a yellowtail.....lol...

I pulled up the heavier rod, although there didn't seem to be much action on it.....as i started reeling i felt some weight, but not much fight...it was a 42cm Jewie...after a couple of photos it was released and happily swam away.... either i am a fantastic fisherman or samll jewies don't fight hard.....

The wind had picked up again here so we moved to different spots the rest of the day...

I was on the phone with my cousin Zac, when Christos yelled your rod buckled. I said it was probably a snag..anyway i gave him the phone and lol and behold the fish was fighting...a very nice 49cm flattie...yummy...

I was telling my cousin don't go fishing today it wasn't a good day...but so far we had 3 keeper fish...lol...

We moved to a calm spot to have lunch..some nice homus and spiced potatoe dish my wife made up...yummy....

Aftler the yummy lunch found some weight on the light tackle rod but no fight at all...it was another 30cm bream...poor thing must have been so tired running around trying to unhook during our lunch break in the cabin...

All in all it was another enjoyable day fishing....we ended up taking 2 30cm bream, 2 flatties 49cm & 36cm, and one king yellow tail which don't taste too bad either....
