Day's Fishin
hey Fisher Jay, they say it's bad luck to change a boats name. As far as I know no one that changed their boats name has ever came back to let anyone know if they had good luck or bad luck. TunaSickle
Hello Do some searches on the internet. You can have a ceremony to change the boat name. found this one. Tells the wording for your ceremony. http://www.boatnames.com.au/ceremoniesandnames.html Ash
whi7eindustries
I changed the name of mine, the old name was awful. Since then half of my trips out the heads are spent helping others with worse luck than me, oh, and we've caught heaps of fish. Upto you dude, I wouldn't be bothered. Cheers, Tobe

whi7eindustries
Hehe is that in relation to Peter? Haha, no it was one of the very first game boats out of Hawaii, although I was talking to Peter last night at the SGFC.
harold
my memory tells me it is not bad luck to change the name of a boat but you should keep a name plate showing its original name somewhere on board. Not sure what you do with a boat that has no name, maybe a blank plate? lol.
