Had a picnic day holiday today so I decided to hit the hawkesbury for a fish.

The plan was to get some live bait and then maybe target flat head and jew.

Arrived at the bait ground ( spot m ) and filled the live bait tank with 30 odd yellowtails with some being the perfect flathead size.

Tried the usual haunts - Lion Island, patonga, flint and steel and juno with no luck what so ever.

Did not see any other boats land anything whilst we were out there.

Pulled the oin around 12.45 pm and released all the livies to fight another day.

Sorry no picks just alot of sun burn.

we tried sat morn to the arvo

tried the common places

managed 2 tailor and bream plus 3 bust offs

my friends said it was quiet how right they were seems theirs a few posts around

but it was a good day out even for me as i caught zero

Your day was better than what most of us had. I stared at a computer all day at work. Would have happily changed positions with you any time, fish or no fish. You will clean up next time out there.

Hey Twin1, at least you were out on the water & not sitting in a hot tractor slashing with the air con on the blink. I'll swap for a day out on the water fish or no fish anytime.
