Ray R
Hi Raiders, Ihad a few spare hours today so I popped around the rocks for a fish. I fished the bottom as I usually do with some nice bonito baits but the fish weren't interested so I swapped to the lake prawns I caught last week. Well this changed things, seems everything wanted these. I caught some nice bream and a good sized tarwhine for the table and a few other fish too. There was 2 shovelnose sharks a pretty crimson banded wrasse and 3 small reddies all these went back. Peter (mercer007) came around for a quick fish for some pigs and he did manage one little fella and he was returned. Another raider came up to me and introduced himself as (spanker, FR name) Danial and his mate Ivar were around there killing some time as well, had a chat and a couple of pics, was nice to meet him as he had often read my posts.. Anyway that was my arvo, a few fish for Mrs Ray R, she loves bream, enjoy the pics..
fishmaniac
Sounds like a relaxing arvo, nice work That shovel-nose looks to be in tip top condition, and some nice colours in the close-up as always. Andrew

jewgaffer
Good session Ray, there's a few nice dinners there.. I'll bet you'd have to be quick on the draw to get the Tarwhine, that fat bullnose would be up for grabs as soon as it hit the table... By the way Ray keep your eyes open in the early mornings on Avoca rocks with these 2000 reels of yours, you're running pretty hot at the moment and well overdue to be taken into the sunset by a cobia or two and more than likely your favourite rod will be next seen as a three piece tag tag hanging off a black marlin Cheers jewgaffer Edited November 25, 2009 by jewgaffer
