Jethro
Only a few days to go until the Hawkesbury ABT. Who amongst the Radiers is fishing it?? Might be a good chance to catch up for a and a chin wag. We are staying at Lakeside Caravan Park so I'm sure there will be a BBQ on somewhere. I have had one of the guys drop out that is sharing our cabin so I have 1 bunk bed available for the Friday and Saturday night. Cost will be about $80 for both nights. PM me if your intersted. Coast_Bloke
Just a question... whats it take to go in these tournaments.. I mean are they open for amateurs like me?, and do you need a boat etc.. just curious as I love to fish, and love competition.. so might look into getting into a tourny one day. Oh and how do they work.. I mean I go out fishing alot and come back with nothing... does this also happen on these tournys? Cheers, Coasty

You can enter as either a boater or a non-boater. There is a random draw and boaters and non-boaters get paired up. The aim of the comp is to weigh in your best 5 live bream. I have never had the problem of catching 5 though I entered as a NB in a few comps last year and learnt more in 2 days in a comp than I did in 12 months of reading and trying to teach myself. Its a great freindly atmosphere and 99% of the people that enter are more than happy to share info and a beer after the days fishing is over

ko-i
Hey guys, I will be fishing the event as a non-boater for my first ABT and cant wait till the weekend to be honest. I have kinda been inactive on the boards and bream social scene for a good while, but plan to get stuck back into it now that I’m back in the country. I have been meaning to get into the ABT events earlier, but its taken me this long to get my act together. Looking forward to catching up with fellow raiders this weekend. Cheers and good luck lads! Andrew.
DaveW
Jeeze, after reading all that you'd think I like to Don't believe a word of it, I'm not an alcoholic, I'm a drunk - alcoholics go to meetings After the eerrrrrmmm....... imbibing, last weekend at Gippsland I may have to take it a bit easier this weekend, but I've said that before Good luck to all entering the event, hope it doesn't rain too much, and the wind stays down - making the run up the Hawks from the Pitts in a small boat can be dangerous, take care all. Jethro
and see if i can fluke that gun fisho' swoffa as my boater 40829[/snapback] Yeah you might get stuck with someone like me If you guys see the Purple Elegant make sure you come over and say G'day. Another question do you guys have a game plan as yet. (I will understand if you don't want to make it public) Will you be hitting the racks or concerntrating on "other" structure. I am pretty sure it will be shoulder to shoulder in a lot of the racks after Mick's effort last year with the fast boats having prime position.
