fisherman1994
Hi guys, i got a Shimano Sedona 4000 with some 25 pound sunline on it and i was just wondering if anybody could give me some recommendations on a rod to match it to? I have a budget of about 100-120 bucks and might be able to stretch it to 130ish at the most. Any help would be much appreciated, as im keen to start getting into the harbour/pittwater kings ASAP. Cheers, James
Young Gun
Hey mate, Have a look at the shimano raider, great rods for the price. Cheers YG
stylo
Do you intend to use it primarily for bait fishing or plastics fishing ? If mainly bait fishing, I suggest that a graphite composite 10/15kg 6'/7' crystal powertip should fit the bill. If mainly plastics fishing the old 7'6 snapper raider (as mentioned above) will suit the bill fine but the butt section is a bit long so working plastics is harder. It may be a bit long from a boat as well, depending on your setup. Looks like there is a new 7'snapper raider (II) 10kg rod. These should both suit the reel and line. I am sure there are many other rods out there that you can match up but this is a start.
