JaniFIN Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) Hi down under riders! We use this kind bottom fish "thing". Usually for flounders, but why not for for flatties too? Take 50-150g steel jig. Put 1-2.5mm plastic tube trough jig rings, and put some extra tape. Put ~50cm line trought tube, and put line other top Ball Bearing Swivel (Connect this side to main reel line), and line other top Ball Bearing Snap Swivel, then you have easy change different rigs. ( In picture have Ball Bearing Swivel both side on line, but use other side Snap Swivel) Then flounder rig. Put maximum two hook same line, first hook side line, and second hook line end. Make sure that hooks not go to close each other, use enough long line. You can make knots straight to hooks, but i have bigger hooks snap swivels for hook/lure change, but i havent never use it. But some balls in line before hooks, it help that hook not go dirty by seaweed so easylly, and it work little like lure allso. I use my own rigs some fluorescent or fosfor tube couple of cm before hook, with balls. Put rig line open side Ball Bearing Swivel, or open knot that you have easy change rig to other when you want. Use hooks any bait you want, but sandworm is best for flounder in here. Idea is, that line run free trough tube, and you have good touch alltime to rig. You can more easylly feel even little fish baits. Tell me if you try and get something by this system. Edited December 19, 2009 by JaniFIN
