austral Posted December 20, 2009 Posted December 20, 2009 hey guys just wandering if anyone had problems installing one of those 6 gang switch panel its got a place for the positive and negative from the battery and then just one wire sticking out from the negative side somethin so simple driving me nuts many thanks in advance cheers the one wire with a connector already on it is for a positive..IE A POWER WIRE FOR THE SWITCHBOARD.. the other wires, one for each switch, are for the positive also..IE POWER FOR EACH ELEC DEVICE.. the negative wires from each device are to be all connected to the same bus bar[a metal panel with holes in it to accept wires],or a negative wire from each run back to the battery.. so you have a red wire from the battery to the single wire on the switch panel wich gives power to the left side of the fuses, then a red wire from each switch wich carries power out of the right side of the fuse to the (device) then the power comes out through the blackwire to the bus bar(so you only have one black wire going back to the battery instead of SIX) back to the battery.. hope this helps
