snag Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Went down on the parra at a late 8.30am start, because the(misses wanted to be taken to train station ). Weather was fine but i knew the wind would pick up later in the day, so i hit a few flats area's i havent hit in a while using some new gulp 3" Minnows in both smelt and watermelon rigged on a 1/16th jighead. Have to say they worked very well, most bream smashing the lure while just sitting on the bottom ..with no movement at all. Best bream went just over a kilo and the others around 500-650gr, in total 9 legals for 6hrs of fishin. Also surprised i only managed a few lizards and no other bycatches, but good to see some nice bream on the flats again(think it was due to the wind). Sorry guys no pic's to lazy to pull it out of my pocket.
Hodgey Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Great work, mate. Sounds like you got 9 quality fish! I have caught bream on blades when it has been lying on the bottom but never tried it with plastics. Thanks for the tip Jorg, and best of luck in 2010 Cheers Hodgey
snag Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 Yer hodgey i get the same with the blades aswell, also thanks for 2010 hope to have a good year doing bass and bream events.
