Fishing Licence

Might be a silly question, but, do you require a fishing licence in QLD??

Will be heading up there on boxing day for a week and want to make sure of the requirements.

I'm pretty sure you dont need one in QLD. I would wait till you get up there and go to a fishing tackle store and ask them.

Greg moved up to Townsville a while back, and he needed no license, however the safety gear he was required to carry was unbelievable compared to NSW standards. Just check with authorities,,,, just incase buddy.

Hey Ant, you don't need a fishing lic. to fish tidal waters in QLD but some of the councils require you to pay them to fish in the dams under their controll. Stick to the tidal waters its better fishing anyway.

Most impoundments require a license. I think Awoonoga is the only one that doesn't.

I dont like the Idea of paying to fish, but the money is going back into fishing and hope the fisheries continue to do the right thing in restocking of fish.

What else do they do with our money?
