Basil D Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Hi Raiders, after reading one post that had a jewfish full of worms I wanted to know, what if we allready ate the dams things, what about the sushi lovers! and what type of worming tablets do we take to get rid of them from our bodies or prevention, last of all how do we know were infected.
Day's Fishin Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Hi Groper, eating raw fish can cause small worms to end up in your stomack which will cause considerable pain, but the good news is your stomack acids will get rid of them in a couple of days. The bad news (there is always a down side) if the larvae finds its way into your intestines, then your in trouble, because they then have to be removed manually by the insertion of a tube. Cooking or freezing fish kills these worms, so guess how I eat fish? Regards Jeff
Basil D Posted December 22, 2009 Author Posted December 22, 2009 A freind of mine is a nurse and said to me they once had to do a deworming procedure on a patient, it was in his blood stream and eating into his brain, he said it was from eating raw fish He did say freeze your fish in a commercial freezer.
framedtrash Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 there was a reason humans started to cook there food haha
