Catchin Jack Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hey Raiders, Went to North Entrance last night to be greeted by hundreds of glow lights on top of rod tips, took a walk along the beach to find rubbish everywhere, even in the water. Had a quick flick and watched in disgust as I seen dead or injured fish (all under size) floated along the banks, nearly EVERY fish that was kept by these people up fishing in my backyard was undersized, they just chucked them on the sand or quickly hid them in coolers or backs of cars. But the rubbish these grubs leave around and devestation they're doing at the moment is horrifying. Where is the useless fisheries???, they're too busy harrassing innocent fishermen and are to gutless or lazy to visit North Entrance or other highly populated areas at night, Fisheries do your job!! I know this happens at other spots throughout NSW and that's scary, i'd love to come dump my crap in their yards and houses, maybe they're used to living that way but most of us are not. I've contacted fisheries, council, police etc today and really put my point across so hopefully they will act and issue some hefty fines but i won't be holding my breath, fisheries will probably trying to fine you for undersize fish you measured on their measuring device they supplied haha. Anyway, can't wait until school holidays is over and these people hopefully do not come back again. Cheers, Leo

Catchin Jack Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 Well we'll see what happens, i've spoken to Fisheries, Police and the Council Rangers. As I said in previous post, I will not be holding my breath on any action being taken, the type of people that are doing it can become quite agressive and have the "mob" mentality so from past issues within NSW I doubt anything will be done but would be awesome if it did happen. Cheers, Leo
DarkHorse Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Fisheries need to organise a few police patrols to go with them. Not many people will get fired up with some police officers standing there as well. Unless fisheries/police start doing something more and more "locals" will continue/start to do the same thing. Dont worry about green zones etc there will be no fish there in the future if these scum bags keep taking undersize fish.
Day's Fishin Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hi Leo i'm with you. I posted on this a couple of day's ago. The fisheries are scarred of these crap people. If they can't do their job then get the hell out & let someone else do it. They have the right to call the police in if their worried to enforce the rules. Start giving them big fines & maybe they will start doing the right thing. But I don't think so. Regards Jeff
Basil D Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hi Leo I hear were your coming from mate, its disgusting and in Bad taste, they can Bully there way out of trouble and the fisheries don't want to get involved. But the Police should step in and get rid off these People, everyone else follows the rules and want a clean environment but for some reason the arseholes don't!

Regards Jeff over the years ive made many complants to the fisheries on the centrail coast and have always be acted on ,they have rang me back to infoarm me of there actions ,you dont know when they are on the rocks or sand in plane cloths, they look and act when the time is right ,if you are a local at one place when you see the fisheries there get a mobile number from them to report any activite ,and you will be suprised at what can be achived if you are willing to stand up and be counted ,(give evidence in court ) to many fisher man just say nothing ,this is why its easyer to persurcute the majorty than prosercute the minority .
flattyslayer Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 went out crabbing in tuggerah lake on thurs and ran into fisheries, was great to see them in the lake for once but would have been nice if they made there way over into the entrance to get some of these tourists i saw keeping baby fish rather then confiscating anyones crab traps that had names slightly faded, ( yes i may have had one disappear) lol, plenty of good size blue swimmers in the lake but on the plus side
