cameldownunder Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 Hi All Despite the wind (forecast) I took my boat out, launched at Roseville bridge, and cruised around. Then I decided to head over to north Head / Quarantine. Arrived there and 2 other boats were anchored. Did ancor up myself, and casted the first rods. Bait got taken and then the fish went and went and went and went till the line broke. - I used some Slimy Mackerel that I bought (yes I know freash one would be better) - The other 2 boats each caught a Kingy (nice size looking from my boat) That was a good feeling. Just need the right bait, have line, swivel, hook and sinker checked next time. Getting Closer And a big thank you to the person who helped me at the ramp. Now I know, never retrieve your boat, if someone next to, is motoring on the trailer: it creates a huge current, that pulles the boat towards the boat with the engine on
slinkymalinky Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 you'll get one if you keep plugging away at it. You obviously know some spots and can get a hook up... it won't be long. Cheers, Slinky
