Snapper Rod

Hey guys need some suggestions for a snapper rod i want something roughly 7ft and 6-8kg for snapper and the odd bit of bottom bashing i got given a 100 gift voucher for a certain store for christmas so something around the 150 mark if possible

Hi mate,

Lure or bait fishing for the snapps? Do you fancy graphite or glass?

If glass the Silstar Crystal Blues are tough and fairly light and I've got one matched to a Baitrunner 4500 which is a good match

I've also got a 7' Okuma Trinus graphite rod but in a heavier 7-12kg weight range mated to a 3500 Daiwa spinning reel for fishing with soft plastics and the like for kings. Has been a grunty rod so far.

Both retail around the $150 mark.

Shimano Raider. They are great rods and are usually priced between 150 and about 180 mark. Great value for money.
