The Poacher Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Just wondering if this crappy weather could have the bonus of bringing the jewies/bream on the bite in the lower Hawkesbury. I have some top jew bait available. Is anyone else going to give it a go. Would be happy to share info on the water tomorrow. Am planning on going out tomorrow morning. The Poacher
Dusky Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 I want to get in there somewhere later this week if I can sort out boat rego. Love to hear where & how you went PM me if you get time - good luck R
HawkesburyMarlin Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 My experience (Not that I have a lot), says it will be murkier than usual, am keen to get out myself, and will be keeping an eye on how you go! I'm thinking of heading out tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday morn .

The Poacher Posted December 29, 2009 Author Posted December 29, 2009 Got out this morning a bit late and the wind had got up. THe guys who got out early seemed to have good bags of flathead. Maybe NYE is the go. The Poacher.

Maybe NYE is the go. The Poacher. G'day all, I got out this afternoon @ around 3pm, managed a couple of Octopus and a gummie shark at west head, followed by a just legal bream at Juno, plenty of choppy tailer around taking the bait. Came back to the ramp at around 10:30pm A great afternoon on the water.
HawkesburyMarlin Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 I hit the Hawesbury again yesterday afternoon until around 1:30am. Nothing other than a small port Jackson Shark. I had hoped that the high tide at 11pm combined with the Southerly change would bring the fish on the chew, but was wrong. I note a massive absence of Hawkesbury reports in the 'Fishing Reports' Section, and it leaves me wondering 'when the Hawkesbury is going to fire again?' Greg
