Thanks to all who took the time to help me out with feedback.

I ended up sticking to my plan and do I have a new outlook towards boat fishing.

2 Hours for 2 little yellow tail who lived for 6 hours without getting a single hit.

Managed to get the following:

Trevally 34cm Flathead 33cm Leather Jacket and a plate size trevally.

20 million throwbacks ranging from an octopus, bream, snapper, tarwine, trevally and a very fascinating blue coloured puffer fish.

Hit the water at 12pm and returned at 8.30ish.

Was good to come home with a feed for a change even if it is not anything wonderfull.

Only 2 of us ended up going and we picked up a passenger for 4hours only.

I think I am content for now

sounds like a good fun outing to me - good job - my last trip all I caught was a cold

Hey Clem, don't feel bad, we fished 4hours last thursday for 4 blue swimmer crabs & 1x 43cm flathead with a millon throwbacks.

Putting in tomorrow at 4am to fish the harbour with anticipation that we will do better. Heres hoping.
