Had my first Fly fishing outing this morning, it didnt go as well as I would have liked it to go...

My casting wasnt as bad as I thought it would be, although I couldnt execute the roll cast, the line kept sticking to the water...

Had my first hook up, which I didnt even realise, I was wondering why my Fly wouldnt come out of the water when I was casting...That was because there was a tiny Tailor on the end of it.

After rotating different lures and not getting any results I noticed there were some decent sized Mullet at my feet because of the bread burley, they wouldnt take my Flys, so I stuck a peice of bread on the Fly... WOOHOO lol that was pretty good, it released some frustration...

I nearly hooked my self in the face a few times and managed to damage my Fly line when the leader cut into it, but....a steep learning curve was conqured.

Cheers.

If u use some floatant on the fly line it will help get it up out of the water on the roll.
