marcel haber
Decided to go and catch some squid last night, the high peaked at 10.30pm so we decided to fish seaforth area with califorian squid and some previous self caught squid from the other week. Had 4 rods out - two with heavy gear and the other two alot lighter. We were hoping for a jew however anything would be nice just for abit of fun. Had a few pickers touch the bait however no real strikes at all, so after fishing 1.5 hours before the turnand then 1.5 hrs after with no luck we decided to move on to the spit bridge to give the squid ago. Apon reaching the bridge and passing under it ,The boat was met with around 6 fishing lines from anglers fishing from the middle of the bridge. Wasnt very happy and did not want to cop a stray sinker and the abuse. I THOUGHT FISHING FROM THE BRIDGE WAS ILLEGAL, AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THESE GUYS WERE FISHING FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE BRIDGE. there were other groups also fishing from the edges so this made fishing from the boat A NON EVENT. I know every one has a right to fish but I believe this to be very dangerous to boaters. If it is illegal, can I voice a complaint to some authority ? We moved on and fished around 400 metres from the bridge and we still could not land a fish. Decided to call it a night by 2.30am and went home once again fishless. Piss'n'Broke
We were out too last night too Marcel, those guys were causing havoc. I got RBT on the way to the boat ramp as did The Sweeney, but nothing ever seems to happen to these anglers despite the amount of authorities on the road at the moment. Ah well,,,,,,,,,,, Dan Edited January 2, 2010 by Dan and Greg

Day's Fishin
Put a complaint into the RTA. Sooner or later someone will end up with a triple in their face. Regards Jeff
