diver1 Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 gday all, im after some tips on whiting please, was up swansea drop over today and there are huge elbow slapper whiting everywere under me boat (same as last 3 times ive been there) wouldnt touch what i had, peeled prawns, whitebait or plastics, so i need to know whats the best bait? (beachworms)? small hook? tiny sinker? light line? any info will be appreciated. also seen a guy catch a huge kingie at the drop over. couple of boats over from us guys were pullen in bream 1 after the other, duno what bait they were useing but all we got there was 1 flatty. Jewhunter Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 A couple of other baits you could try are live blood or squirt worms & live nippers. Also try fishing very light leaders with as little weight as possible. Another option would be small pencil poppers worked in a constant 'walk the dog' retrieve.
