karatekid
Hi everyone, Long time reader, first time poster. Went out on Botany Bay last Thursday - amongst a fair few rat kings, trevs, bream a rock cod and several other species I managed to grab this 50cm Rainbow Runner on mullet strips. I've never seen one of these caught in the bay and didn't even know they ventured in this far - has anyone else ever netted a Rainbow Runner in the bay? Mike Armour
Hey Daniel son its rare to get a rainbow runner this far south. they make great skip baits for marlin. We saw a manta ray off Sydney on the week end too. Mike
g.t.
Well done Danielsan (Karatekid) . They're a lovely looking fish. I catch the odd one in the harbour as a kingy by-catch but not that often. I now know when I've got one on the line because they feel like a vibrating rat king .
double pluggers
G-day karate i have caught them when trolling for kings outside botany. Its a sign the water is really heating up.
