Quantum are regarded as high end reels in the usa, I doubt you will have any problems with the reel mentioned cheers troutboy

G'day Zac,

No problem that I know of with Quantum reels but for Kingy fishing, steer clear of any reel with a composite body. Get a metal bodied reel. The minute amounts of body flex in most composite reels when under pressure, shift the internal components slightly out of alignment causing wear that will eventually lead to the reel failing.

It's not a problem in light tackle situations but I had 2, good quality composite body Shimano reels, that didn't survive a solid week fishing at Cape York unscathed. Since then, nearly all my reels are metal bodied.

Cheers, Slinky
