Rooster Tail

G'day,

Just wondering if anybody uses a transducer cover to stop the rooster tail phenomenom.

I have a Lowrance x515 and to get a clear picture at speed i find i have to have the transducer set low and hence i get a rooster tail that Ken Warby would be proud of.

I would really like to keep the quality of the image i get at speed , but not so the gyser at the back of the boat.

So does anybody else have this problem and how have you gone about sorting it out.

Hey mate, this is what I did with a peice of ali angle. Just cut a vee out of it & bent to shape then rivets to hull, works a treat.

G'day, had the same problem so had this made up by Baitmate.

All up painted and delivered was about $40-45 dollars I think,

the best way to do this is with a backing plate and use the same hole centers as the transducer
