Hi Raiders

Happy new year to everyone and hope you all have a great year! With many unforgetable fishing trips.

Just a quick report from the weekend

Went out to Botany in chase of a Jewie on sunday morning with my uncle and cousin. We were out on the water at about 4am and headed straight for our favourite fishing spot,we made it there an hour before the tide change and knew it was prime time for a jewie.

We had a few live poddy mullet with us and i was first to drop one down into the zone while my uncle and cousin were rigging up.Within the next 10mins my rod was getting a few bounces to it and we were getting ready to hear my reel scream.BOUNCE!!! BOUNCE!!!! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ! ! ! I grab the T-curve and set the hooks.A small battle and in the boat we had a netted 60cm jewie. Not bad for the first 10 mins of our trip we thought.

We dropped down a few more poddies but had no more jewies caught that morning.

We decided to change baits as the sun was rising and sent down a live yakka for a good result of a 69cm flathead, other than that there were a few throwbacks of flathead and whiting caught on plastics for the remainder of the day.

Just a reminder, had a mate get a treble hook in his thumb ,while trying to release the hook from a bonito,in the holidays fishing at Avoca rocks. So dont forget to buy some long nose pliers for your tackle boxes raiders

Here are a few pics(i have one of my mates thumb but cant post it up)lol sorry.
