Prawning For A Begginer

[the one that got away]

Bought a new net today, and as i was buying it, the man at the counter said that this would be a good net for prawing and catching baitfish (whitebait and other stuff) as well as netting fish.

Then i though one night i might go down you iron cove and try for some prawns, but know fark all about catching them??

Could someone help me out about, where i should look, when ect..
