shelby01
Hi Wolfman1, I recently upgraded to a HDS5 and love it. The clarity on the sounder is fantastic and at the moment its great value for money. Cheers AJ

cameldownunder
I had (preinstalled) a lowrance X47 I checked the compatibility of the transducer, and got a second hand X67C (Color and better resolution) which was compatible I also was looking at the HDS5 but 800$ against the 60$ I paid for the X67C were not justified. I will have the HDS5 or HDS7 installed on my next boat So, just an idea: check the compatibility to you existing Transducer, and you might get a second hand, colour one with a good (not excellent) resolution for a fraction of a new HDS5. And on top of that you just have to unplug the X25 and plug in the new on
